Chao-Jung Lai
CS master's student at UC San Diego | HCI Researcher
Hello, I’m Chao-Jung, and I’m on a mission to explore the exciting world of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)!
I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science at UCSD, where I am actively seeking my next HCI direction. Before this, I was a research assistant at the Dynamic Graphics Project (DGP) lab, University of Toronto, where I collaborate with Dr. Ludwig Sidenmark, Dr. Mauricio Sousa, and Prof. Tovi Grossman. My research primarily focuses on novel interaction techniques and context-aware systems in VR/AR, aimed at enhancing user experiences.
Earlier, I also worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the HCI lab, National Taiwan University, where I explored innovative haptics research under the guidance of Prof. Mike Y. Chen. During my time there, I completed a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taiwan University.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to apply my skills across various HCI fields, including AR/VR, human-AI interaction, haptics, and digital fabrication.
When I’m not immersed in research, I enjoy drawing, crafting, and hiking. Feel free to explore my academic and creative work on my website!
