Chao-Jung Lai

ME+CS undergraduate at National Taiwan University

Hello, I’m Chao-Jung, and I’m on a mission to explore the exciting world of Human-Computer Interaction!

Currently, I’m doing research as a research assistant and exchange student at the DGP lab @ University of Toronto, where I have the privilege of working with Dr. Ludwig Sidenmark, Dr. Mauricio Sousa, and Prof. Tovi Grossman. I’m diving into the world of novel interactions and context-aware systems in VR/AR, with a goal of making user experiences better.

Previously, I’m a undergraduate research assistant exploring innovative and interesting haptics research at the HCI lab @ National Taiwan University, advised by Prof. Mike Y Chen and Prof. Lung-Pan Cheng. I’m also an undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science at National Taiwan University.

As for the future, I’m keen to deploy my skills to work in various HCI areas, such as AR/VR, haptics, robotics, haptics, digital fabrication, wearables, and tangible interfaces.

When I’m not geeking out on research, you’ll find me enjoying life’s simple pleasures like drawing, crafting, and getting lost in the great outdoors through hiking. Feel free to explore my academic and creative pursuits on this website!🤩
